Labor Day marks the end of summer and the beginning of fall, one of my favorite times in this great city of ours.

Today we’re diving into one of the best ways to enjoy this time of year up in the mountains.

‘Not Oktoberfest’

There’s a good chance you’ve heard of Snowbird’s Oktoberfest. A German themed, beer-centric festival in the beautiful Little Cottonwood Canyon.

Well, another resort decided to put their spin on it and take it on a more family friendly direction.

Brighton’s ‘Not Oktoberfest’ is a free family friendly event that’s just begun and runs every weekend through October 12th.

It has something for everyone! Giant foosball, cornhole, axe throwing, a mechanical bull, DJ’s and more.

If you’re a foodie then buckle up. The main event will be the ‘'Foodie Wars’’ where the executive chef at Brighton will go up against other Utah restaurants in a cook off.

Of course, if you want to go and get some massive steins of beer that will also be available. It has Oktoberfest in the name for a reason! 🍺
