Hidden Coffee Gem

Tucked between the murals and mid-century storefronts of the Central 9th District, Blue Copper Coffee Room is more than just a caffeine stop — it’s the heartbeat of Salt Lake’s creative crowd.

Founded by a pair of long-time roasters and artists, Blue Copper’s vibe hits that perfect balance of gritty and cozy. You’ll catch local photographers editing shoots at the window bar, tech founders sketching startup ideas on napkins, and neighbors catching up over a lavender latte and fresh scone.

What makes it special? The coffee itself. Every roast is small-batch, direct-trade, and roasted right here in Utah. Their signature “Starlight Blend” (hints of chocolate and citrus) has quietly built a cult following — and if you’re lucky, you’ll snag a bag before it sells out for the week.

But it’s not just about what’s in the cup — it’s the energy. The walls double as a rotating gallery for local artists, and the baristas know your name by week two. It’s the kind of place that makes Salt Lake feel a little smaller, a little more connected.

📍 Location: 179 W 900 S, Salt Lake City
🕓 Hours: 7 AM–4 PM, Mon–Sun
💡 Try this: The “Starlight” drip with an almond croissant. Thank us later.

Tuesday Trivia

Salt Lake City is bounded on both the west and the east by mountain ranges. The world famous Wasatch mountains are situated at the east, but what smaller range limits the Salt Lake valley to the west?
